Two Swindon Cross-Country sets arrive into Glasgow Queen Street with the 10am ex-Edinburgh on the 14th May 1960. At the time six of the seven ScR sets were allocated to Hamilton. On the left is Swindon Inter-City leading DMBS 79111. Michael Mensing.

A three-car Met-Camm DMU forms the 2.40pm service to Kirkcaldy seen awaiting departure from Glasgow Queen Street station on 27 May 1961. Closest is SC51462 allocated to Dundee at the time. Sc55002 is in the loco-hauled formation on the overnight service from Glasgow Queen Street (where pictured) to Inverness, on May 3rd 1978. In ex-works condition (with GG logo) it had just been transferred from Hamilton to Inverness. Arnie Furniss.

Metro Cammell DMU (101 307) departs Glasgow Queen Street High Level Platform 4. The clocks suggest a working via Falkirk Grahamston for Waverley at xx.14 minutes past the hour (with thanks to comments from John McG). Note the Metro Cammell sitting in Platform 1 to the far left with Class 47 on the loco spur behind. Another Class 47 sits at the head of what is probably an Aberdeen train on Platform 7 to the far right. The station looks positively deserted despite what is likely a Saturday afternoon in April 1982. alicia hartman.
